We are supporting our hiring partner, an environmental consuting company for an environmental professional – reclamation & remediation a to join their growing team in Fort St. John, British Columbia

The hiring partner provides environmental, archaeology, and regulatory expertise across Western Canada supporting clients in upstream and midstream oil and gas, municipal infrastructure, Indigenous communities, utilities, forestry, and commercial/industrial sector
projects. As a full-scale service provider, they deliver pre-construction assessment, planning and permitting, construction, post-construction restoration, reclamation, and remediation services across multiple sectors.

Environmental Professional – Reclamation & Remediation Role Summary:

The environmental professional with experience in environmental consulting or the upstream oil and gas industry will be taking on meaningful responsibilities in project execution and client management. The environmental professional will play a key role in executing environmental assessments, remediation, and reclamation.

Environmental Professional – Reclamation & Remediation Primary Duties & Responsibilities Include:

  • Execution of Stage 1 and 2 Preliminary Site Investigations, Remediation and
    Reclamation. 
  • Project planning, and coordination.
  • Assist Project Managers with the oversight and management of client portfolios.
  • Prepare clear, accurate, and technically sound scientific reports.
  • Participation in both company and client-specific health and safety programs.
  • This position requires occasional travel to project sites and field assessments across
    British Columbia and Alberta.
  • More relevant roles as needed.

To be considered for this role, the “Environmental Professional” must have the following qualifications:

  • University degree or diploma from a recognized institution with a specialty in
    environmental science, agrology, conservation and reclamation, or geoscience
  • 3+ years of consulting or industry experience in environmental site assessment
  • Eligible or working toward a professional designation with APEGA, APEGS, AIA, BCIA,
    ASPB, or equivalent.
  • Strong knowledge of Alberta and/or BC regulations and guidelines related to
    assessment, remediation, and reclamation.
  • Excellent technical writing and analytical skills.
  • Proven ability to work independently and as part of a fast-paced, multi-disciplinary
    team.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, with exceptional accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Ability to effectively manage multiple priorities and take initiative in a dynamic work
    environment.
