Safety Associate Manager Role Summary:

Reporting to the Senior Manager, Consulting, the Associate Manager independently oversees assigned clients, ensures the successful delivery of OH&S consulting projects, and provides mentorship to other team members.
The role requires strong leadership, effective client and time management, and exemplary communication skills.
The Associate Manager acts as a role model and upholds professionalism, project quality, and company values.

Safety Associate Manager Primary Duties & Responsibilities Include:

Client Management & Consulting

  • Independently manage and enhance assigned client relationships by delivering customized OH&S solutions with minimal supervision.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact, ensuring clear communication and proactive issue resolution.
  • Conduct site visits and lead all client meetings, ensuring high levels of satisfaction and compliance.
  • Provide regular updates to clients and company’s senior management on the progress of planned implementations, including opportunities, challenges, and key milestones, as directed by the Senior Manager, Consulting.
  • Identify and pursue upselling and cross-selling opportunities across the company’s service offerings, including consulting, training, and software solutions, as well as engage clients in company-led seminars, webinars, and other events.
  • Monitor and follow up on accounts receivable for all assigned clients to ensure timely payments.
  • Collaborate with the Senior Manager, Consulting, on the renewal and extension of client contracts.

Project & Quality Leadership

  • Oversee all aspects of project planning, execution, and reporting.
  • Ensure accuracy, compliance, and quality of all OH&S deliverables (e.g., Risk Assessments, Safety Manuals, Job Hazard Analyses).
  • Track project milestones and proactively report progress and issues to Senior Leadership.

Team Mentorship & Collaboration

  • Mentor and support other members of the company’s team, fostering their skill development and enhancing overall performance.
  • Model professional behavior and instill company values within the team.

Strategic Development & Innovation

  • Collaborate across departments to continuously improve the company’s software application system.
  • Stay current on industry best practices and contribute to innovation in client service delivery.
  • Participate actively in all relevant company meetings, development programs, and initiatives.

To be considered for this role, the “Safety Associate Manager” must have the following qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Public Health, Human Resources, or equivalent.
  • Demonstrated experience in consulting and client management (1–2 years of experience in consulting, client management, and OHS project delivery is ideal).
  • Strong organizational, leadership, and time management skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey information clearly, foster collaboration, and engage effectively with internal and external stakeholders at all levels.
  • Advanced project management, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
  • In-depth knowledge of provincial OH&S legislation and industry best practices.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel).
