We’re supporting our client, Naylor Building Partnerships Inc, an award winning, Canadian owned and run multi-trade mechanical, electrical, plumbing and compressed air contractor based in oackvill, Ontario.
Naylor Building Partnerships has been providing service, maintenance, repairs and installations to the commercial and industrial sector for over 50 years.
They are currently seeking a H&S Advisor to work in our corporate head office HR department in Oakville.
Job Title: Health & Safety Advisor
Employment Type: Permanent/full-time
Location: This position is based in Oackvill, Ontario and offers a hybrid structure.

Role Summary:
Reporting to the Director of shared servies. the health & safety advisor is responsible for coordinating various H&S specialty areas and providing support to the HR team.
Primary Duties & Responsibilities Specific duties and responsibilities include:
- Oversees the coordination of all Health and Safety related initiatives (H&S Excellence program, Safety Bulletins)
- Ensures all Health and Safety regulations are current
- Conducts Incident investigations and office and site inspections
- Assists with the drafting of company policies
- Coordinates and maintains employee training initiatives
- Provides administrative support to HR team (i.e. updating training records, coordinating training initiatives)
- Acts as a point of contact for all health and safety compliance websites & pre-qualifications
- Facilitates health and safety portion of new hire orientation

To be considered for this role, the “Health & Safety Advisor” must have the following qualification:
- University Degree in Occupational Health and Safety (preferred)
- Previous related experience is an asset
- Previous experience with an HRIS system, preferably Microsoft GP 10.0
- Strong administrative skills, specifically MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint
- Organizational skills and ability to multitask
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Relationship-building skills
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to handle confidential information
- Professionalism, tact and diplomacy
