HSE Project Site Supervisor Role and Project Summary:
The HSE Project Site Supervisor is a short-term, rotational role:3 weeks/3 weeks out. There will be One or two days overlap for travel and handover between the two H&S professionals for the entire duration of the project.
This project site is located at Beauval, Saskatchewan. and closest location for lodging are
Buffalo Narrows, Sk. and Iie-a-la-Crosse, Sk
- Project has two phases; the timeline are:
- Phase 1: October 15, 2025, to December 24, 2025
- Phase 1: January 5, 2026, to March 31, 2026
- Phase 2: October 5, 2026, to December 24, 2026 – Tentative
- Phase 2: January 4, 2027, to March 31, 2027 – Tentative
The Project working hours:
- 6 days on and 1 day off
- Each day will be for 9.5 hours
The HSE Site Supervisor will be:
- Conducting onsite orientations for crews and subcontractors
- Preparing and conducting weekly safety meetings
- Inspecting crews, trucks, trailers, equipment, and subcontractor personnel
- Reporting to the prime contractor and client
- Incident management on site
- Leading safety meetings and standdowns
- Supporting any ad hoc tasks as assigned by the project lead
- And other related roles
To be considered for this role, the “HSE Site Supervisor” must have the following
qualifications:
- Completion of a degree, certificate, diploma in occupational health and safety or
related discipline - Minimum 10 Years of experience in environmental health and safety in the utilities and
construction experience - CRSP, CRST or NCSO is a must to have.
- Solid experience in safety legislation,
- Self-starter who takes the initiative to set and achieve pertinent objectives and goals.
- Business professional with highly developed interpersonal skills with the proven ability
to engage, motivate , coach and lead. - The ability to influence decision makers and the front-line worker mentality and
behaviour. - The ability to communicate ideas, thoughts and new concepts in a way that motivates
and engages staff. - Ability to foster a positive team culture that encourages others to contribute and form a
commitment to actions.
