Role Summary:
You will play a key role in solving complex environmental challenges for a diverse range of clients across Ontario and beyond.
As part of their team, you’ll collaborate on innovative projects that leverage your expertise in risk assessment, toxicology, and related disciplines. Primary Duties & Responsibilities
Specific duties and responsibilities include:
- Leading projects related to Contaminated Site Assessments and Remediation, following Ontario and federal regulatory frameworks.
- Providing mentorship and technical guidance to junior staff.
- Conducting literature reviews on toxicology, environmental chemistry, public health, and related subjects.
- Performing detailed human health and ecological risk assessments for exposure to soil, water, air, and other media.
- Preparing reports and analyses, applying diverse scientific disciplines to environmental projects.
- Designing and implementing field programs for sample collection and analysis.
- Developing strong internal and external client relationships.
- Interpreting field and laboratory data, performing statistical analyses, and presenting findings in reports and presentations.
- Ensuring quality assurance and control in all deliverables.
- Supporting proposal and report preparation.
To be considered for this role, the “Senior Environmental & Sustainability Consultant” must have the following qualification:
- A Bachelor’s degree or higher in Environmental Science, Toxicology, or a related field.
- Eligible for professional registration with relevant associations (e.g., PEO, ECO Canada).
- 8+ years of relevant experience in environmental consulting, particularly in risk assessments.
- Familiarity with Ontario and federal contaminated site regulations (e.g., MECP and CCME).
- Strong interpersonal skills, problem-solving abilities, and a passion for collaboration.
- Field experience and certification in contaminated sites tools (e.g., risk assessment frameworks) are an asset.
- Advanced skills in data evaluation, statistical analysis, and report writing.
